Community Guidelines

Landscape Genius connects homeowners with independent landscaping contractors. People share photos of their property, messages, quotes and reviews. These guidelines apply to everything you post or send through the service, and to how you behave toward other people on it.

What is not allowed

  • Harassment and abuse — threats, intimidation, sexual harassment, slurs, or targeting someone because of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation or age.
  • Sexual, violent or graphic content — including nudity in property photos and any depiction of minors.
  • Illegal activity — unlicensed work where a licence is required, unsafe practices, or soliciting anything illegal.
  • Fraud and deception — fake listings, fake reviews, impersonating another person or business, misrepresenting licensing, insurance or completed work, or posting another contractor's photos as your own.
  • Privacy violations — posting someone else's address, phone number, face or property photos without their permission.
  • Spam and off-platform pressure — bulk unsolicited messaging, or pushing someone off the service to avoid our records and protections.
  • Platform abuse — scraping, circumventing credit limits, automating accounts, or probing our security.

What we expect

  • Describe work, photos and prices honestly, including what is excluded.
  • Only upload photos of property you own or have been engaged to work on.
  • Treat quotes, measurements and AI concepts as estimates and say so to your customer.
  • Reviews must describe a real job you were actually part of.

Report or block

Every profile and conversation has a Report control and a Block control. Blocking hides that person from you and prevents further contact. Reports go to a queue reviewed by a person — we aim to review every report within 24 hours and act on serious safety reports immediately. You can also email support@landscapegenius.app.

Enforcement

Depending on severity and history we may remove content, limit features, suspend the account, or terminate it permanently. Content that appears to involve child sexual abuse material, credible threats of violence, or fraud is removed on sight and reported to the relevant authorities. If you believe we got it wrong, reply to the enforcement notice or email support and a different reviewer will look at it.
